Autism Support Worker Job Description

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a full-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with ASD, promoting their academic and social growth.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, tailored to meet the needs of students with ASD.
  • Assist with personal care and create a safe, supportive environment that fosters independence and confidence.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless support for students with ASD.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
  • Comfortable providing personal care and support.
  • DBS clearance on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
