We are partnering with a local authority in Waltham Forest to assist with the appointment of a skilled Animal Care Specialist on a 3-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for consideration.
Compensation: £ per hour
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the health and well-being of dogs in kennels and during transportation
- Animal Welfare and Safety
- Maintaining cleanliness of kennels
- Recognizing and reporting reportable or communicable diseases
- Transporting dogs
- Interacting with the public
- Managing confrontations
- Reporting defects in vehicles and equipment
- Working a flexible shift pattern, including evenings and weekends, to meet service requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid driving license
- Personal transportation
- Experience working in kennels in various weather conditions
- Experience handling aggressive and dangerous dogs
- Knowledge of the Animal Welfare Act
- Knowledge of the Dangerous Dogs Act
- Ability to work with minimal supervision

- You must be available to start immediately or at short notice.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
