Role Overview:

The FP&A position reports directly to the Finance Director and is tailored for a qualified finance professional with a strong background in financial planning and analysis. This role is perfect for someone who excels in a dynamic environment and is passionate about facilitating informed decision-making through financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Provide in-depth financial analysis and actionable insights to guide strategic decisions, including revenue patterns, cost evaluations, and profitability metrics for regular reporting to senior management.
  • Prepare weekly trading reports and monthly presentations on performance, highlighting key trends with clarity and precision.
  • Offer insights and recommendations based on operational feedback.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to derive actionable insights from CRM and analytics data.
  • Regularly review P&L cost items to enhance understanding of the cost structure and identify key trends.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to optimize performance, manage costs, and enhance profitability through process improvements.
  • Develop and refine a suite of financial and non-financial KPIs.
  • Assist the executive team with analysis and insights for presentations.
  • Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to evaluate various scenarios and their potential impact on financial outcomes.

Strategic Planning and Decision Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess strategic initiatives, including capital projects, through comprehensive financial analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and improve financial performance across the organization.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to management, providing insights and recommendations grounded in thorough financial analysis.
  • Engage with department heads to understand their financial requirements and support their objectives.
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making by encouraging the use of financial metrics throughout the organization.

  • Knowledge of Power Query is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant financial qualification or equivalent degree (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis within a multi-site business, ideally in hospitality or retail.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with financial planning software such as Business Central NAV.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
