About the Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work as part of an integrated team of nurses and nursing assistants to deliver holistic and individualized patient care. You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, using teamwork and cooperation to contribute to a positive, supportive, and professional working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, individualized care to patients and their families

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience of caring for patients and their families
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures and infection prevention and control
  • Excellent professional communication skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • An understanding of basic nutrition needs
  • Able to demonstrate methods of promoting dignity
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written, proficient in English
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would welcome applications from candidates with:

  • Experience of delivering care to patients within a Hospice, Hospital, Community, or Care Home
  • An understanding of the nature of hospice work and an ability to seek support for themselves as a result of distressing situations
