Job Description

**Financial Director/Head of Financial Operations/Chief Financial Officer**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director/Head of Financial Operations/Chief Financial Officer to join our team at Taylor Hawkes Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our finance function and providing strategic financial guidance to the Management Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Reporting
    • Work closely with the Board/departmental managers in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
    • Contribute to the preparation of the Business Plan.
    • Provide financial data and explanations to the company's accountants to enable them to prepare the annual financial statements and corporation tax calculations.
  • Financial Management
    • Day-to-day management of the finance function, including:
    • Reporting on all financial matters at Management Team meetings.
    • Maintain all Financial Ledgers using the SYSPRO ERP system.
    • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register.
    • Prepare weekly Bank Reconciliations and cash flow forecasts.
    • Supervision and development of finance support staff.
    • Manage foreign currency requirements.
    • General Ledger Journal entries including Accruals & Prepayments.
    • Credit Control.
    • Processing Supplier Payments.
    • Preparation and processing of payroll and the company pension scheme.
    • Review, reconcile and report on monthly stock levels and Work-in-Progress.
    • Produce monthly Management Accounts within 7 working days of each month end.
    • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
  • Business Improvement
    • Ensure accurate daily time sheet entries into the SYSPRO Works Order system.
    • Closed completed works orders and Report monthly on profit margins.
    • Analysis to identify potential, profitability improvements across the business.
    • Provide commentary on analysis and support the Management Team in making well-informed, commercial business decisions.
    • Support the ongoing improvement of systems and processes within the business.
  • General Commercial Contracts
    • General Insurance Annual renewal.
    • Renewal of Energy Contracts.
    • Manufacturing experience.
    • Week by week rolling basis.
