About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our UK Management Team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence in our supply chain, production planning, and purchasing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Design and execute procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
  • Supply Chain Analysis and Forecasting: Utilize strong analytical skills to review and analyze data, providing accurate and timely production and supply forecasting.
  • Production Planning and Inventory Management: Manage all production planning and associated requirements for the business, ensuring optimal inventory levels and supply chain efficiency.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance.
  • Risk Management: Mitigate risks through the Supply Chain, ensuring compliance with Customs and Container programs.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: CIPS, or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field, or Qualified by experience, minimum 5-10 years' experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years + and a strategic global mindset.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation skills, ability to build lasting supplier partnerships, proficiency in using procurement software, Excel, and Inhouse MRP systems, excellent communication and leadership abilities.
