Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team as a High School Chef at Kirklees Council. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for supporting the Catering Supervisor in the production of healthy and nutritious meals for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals for students, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Support the Catering Supervisor in the management of the kitchen, including inventory management, ordering, and stock control.
  • Undertake the duties of the Catering Supervisor in their absence, ensuring seamless operation of the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and council policies.
