About the Role
RWE AG is seeking a highly skilled Cloud and Infrastructure Architect to join our IT Strategy & Architecture team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting cloud adoption across the organization, advising on solutions, building reference architectures, and providing implementation guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of organizational risks and promote the use of good practices in cloud adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain productive business relationships with IT, suppliers, and customers for a common IT business architecture and technical architecture environment.
- Develop and maintain a cloud community within RWE, bringing together stakeholders, collaboration, and encouraging the sharing of cloud knowledge and skills.
- Provide implementation guidance and support to teams inside and outside IT to ensure successful cloud adoption.
Requirements and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in public cloud & public cloud architecture, and 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills - oral and written, in English.
- Vendor- and technology-neutral, with a focus on achieving targeted business outcomes.
- A creative problem solver with experience working in agile teams in a cross-functional and international environment.
Advantageous, but not a must
- German communication skills a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
- Knowledge of application development, service-oriented architecture (SOA), APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.
