Supervising Social Worker - Fostering

We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our team as a Supervising Social Worker in our Fostering Service. This is a part-time opportunity, ideally 3 days a week, with the possibility of condensed working weeks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying a caseload of approximately 16 foster carers, and may be required to take on one form of assessment. You will be expected to visit foster carers and participate in duty rota as and when required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and their impact on fostering services. You will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, have good IT skills and be flexible and able to travel throughout the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry a caseload of approximately 16 foster carers
  • Take on one form of assessment
  • Visit foster carers and participate in duty rota
  • Have a good working knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Be a strong communicator, both written and verbal

Requirements:

  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car
