We are partnering with a leading business to find a talented Softs Homeware Buyer to join their team. As a key member of the commercial team, you will work closely with the Commercial Director to develop and implement product ranges that meet the company's objectives and customer needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Director to source and develop product ranges that reflect current trends and meet sales targets.
  • Analyse performance data to review current ranges and ensure sales, margins, and profit are achieved.
  • Work with the sourcing team to manage annual production and manufacturing budgets.
  • Conduct buying trips to identify new suppliers and maintain relationships with current suppliers.
  • Take action on repeats, cancellations, and rescheduling of orders.
  • Prepare and present regular range reviews and presentations to senior management.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best possible price and margin for goods.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with the supply base and source new suppliers.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and review competitors in the market.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
