About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel to join our global Construction & Procurement Law team in RWE AG. As a key member of our team, you will provide legal support to our international Offshore Wind business, working closely with other departments to deliver holistic and streamlined legal support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on construction and procurement contracts, including turbine supply agreements, foundation contracts, and EPC(I) & turnkey contracts.
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to coordinate legal support and specialized in-house and external legal advice.
  • Keep oversight of all legal matters relating to projects and advise senior management on related legal risks.
  • Provide legal support to disputes arising out of negotiated contracts.
  • Drive standardization and process improvement initiatives within the Construction & Procurement Law team.

Requirements

  • Qualified as a lawyer in the United Kingdom.
  • Several years of work experience as a private practice lawyer or in-house counsel in a leading law firm or company, working in the energy sector or with a focus on large-scale, high-value infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive working knowledge of international construction and procurement law standard forms.
  • Renewables experience, particularly in offshore wind, is beneficial but not a pre-requisite.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, take on new responsibilities, and organize workload effectively in a collaborative environment.
