Apprentice Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Imerys. As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical and electrical expertise to ensure the optimal performance and availability of our plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure smooth operations.
- Corrective Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Instrumentation and Calibration: Calibrate and diagnose faults on instrumentation systems to ensure accurate measurements and control.
- Risk Assessment and Safety: Conduct risk assessments and ensure a safe working environment by identifying and mitigating hazards.
- Inventory Management: Order and manage site spares to minimize downtime and optimize inventory levels.
- Confined Space and Height Work: Perform work in confined spaces and at heights, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering: Hold a relevant apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Strong HSE Ethos: Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices and protocols.
- IT Proficiency: Be proficient in the use of IT systems and software.
- Valid UK Driving License: Hold a valid UK driving license.
