Brief Description

Are you wanting to start your career in the Automotive Industry? Are you hands-on and passionate about Vehicles? FMGRS is looking for a Vehicle MET Apprentice to join their expert team

Qualifications Required

No previous automotive qualifications are needed but the ideal candidate will have GCSE’s 9 to 4 (A-C) or equivalent in Maths and English

Personal Qualities

You must have a strong passion for the industry and in your own personal development as FMGRS will help support you, with further training opportunities available to be a successful MET technician

Skills Required

The job involves numerous activities and technicians will need to be comfortable with a wide range of vehicles. As a technician, you will often be working as part of a team, so good communication and being able to follow instructions would be good skills to have.

Vacancy Detail

Join the UK’s largest repair group in this fantastic opportunity as an Apprentice MET Technician at our busy workshop. As a MET Technician, we know there’s no better feeling than seeing a customers vehicle at the front of the workshop, waiting for them to collect it – it is what our business is built on. • Assessing a vehicle to establish the extent of damage • Based on the initial assessment, deciding whether to repair or replace bodywork • Stripping and fitting of parts and damaged panels/bumpers • Mechanical Work on axles subframes, steering racks • Electrical Harness repair and replacement • A certain amount of administration and customer interaction • Keeping a record of work carried out and time taken • Liaising with the customer or insurance company • Providing quotations and estimations
