Transport Support Assistant

Brackenberry Ltd is collaborating with a Local Authority to recruit a Transport Support Assistant for a 3.5-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on client needs. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their CV for consideration.

Weekly Hours: 17.5

Compensation: £15.48 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN) during transportation to and from day services on behalf of the Local Authority.
  • Maintain precise and current records for all transport operations.
  • Regularly communicate with the Specialist Travel Coordinator to ensure the efficiency of services and staff training.
  • Ensure that all risk assessments and passenger details are accurate and that seating arrangements are properly documented.
  • Install and maintain seating, harnesses, clamping systems, and other necessary equipment in vehicles, replacing any faulty or damaged items as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Additional Information:

  • Immediate availability or short notice is preferred.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.K. is essential.
  • This position requires an enhanced DBS check.
