Role Overview

Are you a seasoned Project Coordinator with expertise in defined benefit pension administration? In this role, you will oversee a variety of substantial and intricate projects while engaging directly with clients.


Projects will encompass various aspects of Pension Administration, including implementations, benefit modifications, pensions dashboard, GMPE, and de-risking strategies.


This position is primarily aligned with our UK operations, offering a hybrid working arrangement, with flexibility considered on a case-by-case basis.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of moderately complex to complex projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high client satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive, high-quality risk and project plans, including resources, scope, costs, assumptions, and dependencies, while keeping plans updated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular project meetings, documenting and following up on identified actions and risks.
  • Perform ongoing project assessments through toll gate reviews and health checks.
  • Evaluate the implications of scope changes, adjusting project plans and communications as necessary.
  • Review significant project proposals characterized by high complexity and risk, validating requirements and suggesting modifications as needed.
  • Manage cross-departmental resources, negotiating requirements to balance internal needs against conflicting priorities.
  • Communicate with clients as required, ensuring clarity on progress, risks, and issues with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Delegate tasks to junior team members, ensuring adherence to departmental standards and providing necessary support.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by recommending new standards and procedures based on project insights.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience as a Project Coordinator, with a solid understanding of DB, DC, and insured pension schemes.
  • Proven track record in managing pension administration projects.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
  • A willingness to acquire new skills and adapt to evolving environments.
  • Strong business acumen with prior client-facing experience.
  • Project management certification (desirable) or a desire to pursue one.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
