The ideal Production Manager will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and oversight of manufacturing and assembly operations. This position requires maintaining awareness of each work order's status and ensuring they are processed according to scheduled delivery timelines.
A significant aspect of this role involves effective communication with personnel in the production team, necessitating the establishment and maintenance of strong, respectful relationships. A proactive and positive approach to all responsibilities will set the benchmark for the commitment expected from the production workforce.
- Supervising and assisting production teams while adhering to a production timetable and ensuring compliance with the quality management system.
- Calculating the necessary human and material resources to facilitate a seamless workflow and minimize bottlenecks.
- Overseeing production processes and schedules, ensuring comprehensive knowledge of the business system is upheld.
- Participating in the selection and upkeep of tools and equipment.
- Monitoring product quality standards and collaborating with the quality assurance department as needed.
- Coordinating with various departments, including sales, material control, management, quality assurance, and human resources, while providing coverage for absent production managers.
- Collaborating with other managers to execute the company's policies and objectives.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and maintaining high standards of workplace cleanliness.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS-Word, Excel, Internet/E-mail).
- Solid understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and PCB/SMT terminology.
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation.
- Good familiarity with company systems and protocols.
- Flexibility when necessary.
- A commitment to quality and a thorough understanding of IPC standards.
- A keen awareness of safety considerations.
