Job Description

GE Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Quality Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the company's NCR system, providing management reports and driving actions with stakeholders to resolution.
  • Carry out product and process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Create project and manufacturing control plans to ensure effective implementation and maintenance.
  • Monitor and report quality-related KPIs, including scrap, rework levels, and first-time yield.
  • Promote a zero-defect culture and stop-the-line approach to quality.
  • Ensure compliance with our QMS (ISO 9000:2015) and assist with audits.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to aid development and identification of risk on new projects and processes.
  • Meet with customers during project meetings and final inspections, providing reports and presentations as needed.
Requirements:
  • Relevant business, commercial, or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or HNC, or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, measurement tools, and techniques.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge, including VSM and Gauge R&R.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of NATO standards AQAP 2105/2110.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including MS Word, MS Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
