Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Midlands

Salary: Up to £52,000 – Midlands

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at The HSE Recruitment Network. As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing functional health and safety advice, guidance, and coaching to project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and guide project teams on the implementation of the Health and Safety Management System (HSMS).
  • Ensure project compliance with the HSMS and statutory provisions.
  • Maintain the Health & Safety competence matrix.
  • Deliver health and safety inductions and briefings to project teams.
  • Monitor the onboarding process.
  • Produce, review, and implement the Construction Phase Plan (CPP).
  • Review risk assessments and method statements.
  • Support project teams in accident and incident investigations.
  • Monitor project activities, trade contractors, designers, suppliers, and assist the procurement team.
  • Undertake assurance inspections on site.
  • Liaise with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, clients, enforcement agencies, and other relevant parties.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in construction project or facilities health and safety.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Construction activities – minimum).
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Facilities activities – minimum).
  • Experience of working on construction sites (earthwork, pilling, foundation, civil work, viaduct, land contamination, asbestos removal, batching plant, lifting operations, and MEWPS).
