About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our client's team on a HS2 project in a joint venture with a renowned construction contractor in the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prevent injury to personnel and damage to plant and equipment.
  • Improve existing working methods to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements affecting health, safety, and welfare.
  • Provide guidance on the use of protective clothing and equipment.
  • Evaluate the suitability of plant, equipment, materials, and services from a safety viewpoint.
  • Identify potential hazards arising from contracts and site safety organization.
  • Develop and implement methods of safe working.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and ensure compliance.
  • Assist during tendering, planning, and pre-contract stages to advise on safety, health, and welfare matters.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in health and safety management.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
