Inventory and Deployment Specialist

The primary function of this role is to ensure the effective management and maintenance of digital media services equipment, as well as the provision of technical support to staff and students. As part of the Technical Team at Regent's University London, you will contribute to the development and provision of specialist learning resources to support the teaching, learning, and research needs of the academic community.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure the maintenance and cleaning of specialist machinery and equipment, liaise with suppliers, and coordinate the loaning of equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate records and administer the budget for equipment and resources.
- Organize and maintain technical resources for all areas, including PAT testing and recommendations for upgrades.
- Provide guidance and support to students and staff on equipment loan processes and technical requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of technical handouts and advise on technical requirements for curriculum development, monitoring, and audits.
- Liaise with academic colleagues on the planning and deployment of technical support and resources.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and escalate to ITS when required.
- Support the lighting, sound, and production of film and studio productions.
- Maintain up-to-date operational technical knowledge and participate in the use of photographic and video production equipment.
- Comply with and support the University's Health, Safety, and Wellbeing policies.
- Technical knowledge and experience in the use of digital media services equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and administer budgets.
