Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable Emulation or FPGA Prototyping Consultant within the EMEA region. This role is tailored for individuals possessing robust technical acumen in emulation and/or FPGA prototyping systems, coupled with exceptional skills in business development, project management, and client engagement. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with some of the most pioneering companies in the semiconductor sector.

The consultant's responsibilities will primarily focus on delivering technical services, which may encompass platform enablement and methodology support. Engagements could involve direct interaction with clients or collaboration within a broader technical team. The role will necessitate a blend of remote, office, and onsite work. As a consultant, you will also be tasked with identifying new opportunities, fostering business growth, and enhancing the consulting practice.

Essential Technical Skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of Strato/Primo/proFPGA hardware architecture and configurations
  • Proficient experience with Veloce/VPS software for compilation and runtime processes
  • Insightful knowledge of emulation/FPGA prototyping system applications
  • Expertise in design mapping, testbench mapping, and transactor development
  • Familiarity with Veloce Applications, including Coverage, Assertions, Power, DFT, Codelink, etc.
  • Proficient in hardware/software debugging solutions related to emulation/FPGA prototyping
  • Knowledgeable in TBX, ICE, and targetless environments
  • Highly skilled in HDLs (Verilog/SV) for RTL design and HVLs (SV/UVM) for verification
  • Solid foundation in Functional Verification, RTL synthesis, and PnR workflows
  • Conversant with SoC design and architectural principles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of Data Centre hosting and Cloud-based solutions
  • Familiarity with standard interface protocols such as PCIe, AMBA, USB, DDR, DisplayPort, etc.
  • Commercial insight into EDA companies and their offerings
  • Proficient in Linux, Tcl/Python/shell, C/C++, DPI, SCE-MI, SystemC, UVM Connect, UVM Framework
  • Experience in consulting or customer service roles

  • BSc/MSc in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science

  • Enthusiastic and engaging personality
  • Eager to learn new technologies and methodologies as required
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other European languages is advantageous
