Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable Emulation or FPGA Prototyping Consultant within the EMEA region. This role is ideal for individuals possessing robust technical proficiency in emulation and/or FPGA prototyping systems, complemented by exceptional skills in business development, project management, and client engagement. This position presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative firms in the semiconductor sector.

The consultant's responsibilities will primarily revolve around delivering technical services. This may encompass platform enablement and methodology support. Interactions may occur directly with clients or collaboratively with a broader technical team. The role will necessitate a blend of remote, office, and onsite work. As a consultant, you will also be tasked with identifying opportunities, fostering new business, developing service offerings, and expanding the consulting practice.

Essential Technical Skills
  • In-depth understanding of Strato/Primo/proFPGA hardware architecture and system configurations
  • Experience with Veloce/VPS software for compilation and execution
  • Practical knowledge of emulation/FPGA prototyping systems
  • Familiarity with design mapping, testbench mapping, and transactor development
  • Knowledge of Veloce Applications, including Coverage, Assertions, Power, DFT, Codelink, etc.
  • Expertise in hardware/software debugging solutions related to emulation/FPGA prototyping
  • Understanding of TBX, ICE, and targetless environments
  • Proficient in HDLs (Verilog/SV) for RTL design and HVLs (SV/UVM) for verification
  • Strong background in Functional Verification, RTL synthesis, and PnR processes
  • Familiarity with SoC design and architectural principles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Data Centre hosting and Cloud-based solutions
  • Understanding of standard interface protocols such as PCIe, AMBA, USB, DDR, DisplayPort, etc.
  • Commercial insight into EDA companies and their solutions
  • Proficiency in Linux, Tcl/Python/shell, C/C++, DPI, SCE-MI, SystemC, UVM Connect, UVM Framework
  • Experience in consulting or customer service roles
