Role Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will facilitate the efficient relocation of production lines and equipment across our global operations. This position requires the planning, execution, and successful completion of work transfer projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and quality benchmarks.

Key duties encompass initial project planning, designing new production layouts, collaborating with various teams, and overseeing the installation, validation, and enhancement of manufacturing processes at new sites.

This role is ideal for a driven, meticulous engineer who excels in fast-paced environments and is dedicated to enhancing efficiency and quality in manufacturing. Significant international travel will be a requirement.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

Project Oversight: Direct the technical components of work transfer initiatives from start to finish. Formulate comprehensive project plans that include timelines, milestones, risk evaluations, and budgets. Track progress and implement necessary adjustments to achieve project goals. Technical Guidance: Offer engineering insights in the planning and execution of production line transitions. Evaluate current processes, design and configure new production layouts, select and install machinery, and supervise validation efforts. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, supply chain, and facility management, to ensure a unified approach to work transfers. Documentation and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work transfer processes are documented in line with company policies and legal standards. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality documentation. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Utilize lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to refine work transfer operations. Identify and implement enhancements to lower costs, boost efficiency, and elevate quality. Training and Development: Provide training and support to local teams at both sending and receiving locations. Ensure personnel are adequately trained on new systems and processes. Vendor Relations: Manage partnerships with external vendors and contractors involved in the transfer process. Negotiate agreements, oversee quality of work, and ensure deadlines are met. Post-Transfer Assessment: Conduct evaluations after transfers to gauge the success of the process. Collect feedback from key stakeholders and apply lessons learned to future projects.

Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment design, and automation, with expertise in CAD software for production layouts. Direct experience in work transfer projects, including planning, execution, and optimization of production line relocations. Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt) are a plus. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges. Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing project demands and work effectively under pressure, demonstrating resilience in challenging situations. Relevant Certifications: Certifications in manufacturing engineering, project management (e.g., PMP), or specific technologies. Software Skills: Experience with project management, ERP, or MRP software. Training Experience: Background in developing and delivering training programs to enhance workforce skills at new locations.
