We are seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as a Food Service Assistant at the University of Hertfordshire, College Lane Campus. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service facilities.

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to customers
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are kept clean and tidy
  • Maintain food hygiene, service, and presentation to standard
  • Assist in the effective management of stock and portion control
  • Handle cash and operate the till
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Complete any administration tasks as requested, including food temperatures, wastage, and cleaning schedules
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a food service environment
  • Friendly, polite, and motivated
  • Great customer service skills
  • A DBS check is required
