Job Summary:

Midas VFX is seeking an experienced and highly organized Visual Effects Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of VFX production. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production schedule, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the production schedule, managing the workflow and ensuring that all VFX shots are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with VFX supervisors, producers, and department heads to define project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources, including artists, technical staff, and equipment, to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients and other departments to ensure clear communication and that the VFX production aligns with the overall creative vision.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all VFX deliverables meet the required technical and creative standards.
  • Project Coordination: Handle the coordination of multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing the team's workload effectively.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the bidding process, providing accurate time and cost estimates for upcoming projects.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and maintain project budgets, providing regular updates to senior management and clients.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all production documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant team members.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Line Producer, Production Manager, or similar role within the VFX industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the VFX production pipeline and post-production processes.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex projects with tight deadlines.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of artists and technicians.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource management tools.
  • Industry Software: Familiarity with industry-standard VFX software and tools.
