Job Purpose

The Strategy Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Strategy Managers by providing actionable insights that drive business growth. This involves working across multiple propositions and areas of focus to identify opportunities and threats that impact Halfords Retail and Garages.

This role requires the ability to think ahead, anticipate market trends, and develop strategies that drive long-term financial health for the business and its shareholders. The successful candidate will be able to identify and capitalize on opportunities, while mitigating threats that may impact the business.

The Strategy Analyst will work closely with the Head of Proposition + Category Strategy and Strategy Managers to develop a strategic plan that addresses the needs of Halfords Retail and Garages. This will involve gathering and analyzing data, conducting market research, and developing insights that inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the development of a strategic plan that identifies and responds to scaled opportunities and threats for Halfords Retail and Garages.
  2. Conduct data gathering and analysis to inform business decisions, including market research and competitor analysis.
  3. Develop and maintain financial models and business cases to determine the viability of projects and strategies.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data and conduct analysis, and to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  5. Support the development of insight-led propositions and brand strategies that drive customer experience and perception.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong analytical background, with experience working in a retail or customer-facing organization. They will be able to grasp the big picture, prioritize tasks, and communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in interpreting data, spotting trends, and making recommendations that drive business growth.

They will also have a collaborative style, with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Experience in creating, developing, or contributing to insight-led propositions and brand strategies is highly desirable.
