Key Responsibilities:
Designing Customized Option Strategies:
- Crafting and implementing tailored option strategies that cater to client requirements and prevailing market dynamics, ensuring these structures are both effective and aligned with the specific risk and return goals of clients.
Executing Complex FX Trades:
- Overseeing the execution of significant and intricate foreign exchange transactions that deviate from standard market practices, guaranteeing optimal pricing and minimal market disruption.
Market Risk and Liquidity Management:
- Constantly assessing and managing the risk exposure and liquidity of various derivative positions, applying strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure adequate liquidity.
Developing Hedging Models:
- Creating advanced Excel-based models and tools for clients to hedge against market fluctuations, equipping them with robust strategies to safeguard their portfolios from unfavorable market shifts.
Overseeing Options Desk Operations:
- Leading the operations of the options desk, ensuring adherence to regulatory reporting requirements, managing option expirations, executing trades, restructuring agreements, and providing training on relevant systems and processes.
Collaboration with IT Development:
- Partnering with IT teams to innovate and enhance technological solutions that facilitate efficient FX execution and option structuring, improving the overall experience for clients and internal stakeholders.
Work Arrangement:
- This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the London office to promote collaboration and maintain team dynamics.
Travel Requirements:
- The position may involve occasional travel to international offices, fostering global collaboration and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives across various regions.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance or a quantitative field is essential for this role.
Experience:
- A minimum of 18 months of experience in options structuring, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the associated strategies and financial instruments.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting. Familiarity with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is a plus for automating tasks and developing custom tools.
Industry Background:
- Experience in reputable banking institutions or fund management firms, specifically in environments dealing with complex financial products, is preferred.
Communication Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with senior management, clients, and internal teams, capable of articulating complex financial concepts and strategies clearly.
