Position Title: HVAC and Refrigeration Specialist

Salary: £40,500 basic plus van, fuel card (OTE £50-55k with on-call and overtime)

Location: East Midlands

Shift Pattern: Days

Role Overview:

This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and emergency maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems across various commercial contracts.

As the primary technician for maintenance at your designated sites, you will be responsible for ensuring that all technical repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within the agreed timelines, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurately completed according to established procedures.


2. Respond swiftly and effectively to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and performing repairs as needed.


3. Prioritize maintenance and repair tasks to meet established timelines and response expectations.


4. Order replacement parts following the prescribed procedures.


5. Identify irreparable faults in equipment and promptly inform the Line Manager, providing recommendations for suitable replacements.


6. Ensure that compliance documentation is consistently maintained and up to date.


7. Conduct surveys and compile reports as required by management.


8. Perform minor modifications and installations within your technical expertise, adhering to current specifications.


9. Attend training sessions as necessary to keep your skills aligned with technological advancements.


10. Participate in an on-call rota as required.



Qualifications:
F-Gas (2079) certification as a minimum
City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in HVAC and Refrigeration

Skills and Competencies:
1. Minimum education level of GCSE / Standard Grade.
2. Proven quality in repairs and maintenance tasks.
3. Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Efficiency and speed in completing work.
6. Positive and proactive attitude.
7. Timely response to service requests.
8. Successful achievement of PPM schedules.
9. Adherence to Health and Safety policies.
