Axcis Education is thrilled to be partnering with a highly-respected college in the Haringey area, catering to students aged 16 and above with complex and co-occurring learning difficulties, including autism.
About the RoleThe role is supporting a class of 7 learners working on our Maximum Independence course, which seeks to prepare young people for life in supported living environments post-college. Most of the learners are working around Entry Level 1 for maths and English. All learners are supported 1:1 by specialist teaching assistants and it's the role of the teacher to coordinate work towards targets and ensure the timetable runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Set and uphold high standards for learning, teaching, behaviour, and care, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with complex learning challenges, promoting independence and confidence.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, organisation, and dedication to improving the lives of young people with SEN, making a positive impact on their educational journey.
