Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and passionate English Lecturer to deliver engaging and innovative lessons to our students aged 16-18 and adult learners. As a Lecturer in English, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the literacy skills of our students and providing high-quality instruction to students resitting their English exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students aged 16-18 and adult learners
  • Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of all learners
  • Contribute to the college's quality cycle and work with colleagues to integrate functional skills and English into the vocational curriculum
  • Interview and assess students to develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
  • Develop industrial links with professionals to maintain personal research and professional practice
  • Ensure learners are registered and enrolled for each program and that achievement claims are timely
  • Contribute to the overall quality improvement plans and key performance indicators
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a passion for teaching and a desire to share your expertise with others. You will also need to have a strong understanding of the English curriculum and be able to deliver engaging and innovative lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
