About the Role
As an Expert Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and effective care to adult females with complex needs within our specialized service.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including clinicians, managers, directors, support staff, families, and external agencies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Oversee the successful implementation of occupational therapy student placements within our service.
- Support the completion of performance reviews and personal development plans for junior staff members.
- Develop and implement evidence-based policies, protocols, and care pathways to ensure high-quality patient care.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Extensive post-qualification clinical experience working with adult females who have complex needs, particularly within a mental health setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in applying various occupational therapy frameworks and approaches.
- Highly developed clinical reasoning skills and the ability to make sound judgments based on patient assessments.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models for individuals with mental illness.
