Teaching and Scholarship Role

This position places students at the heart of our curriculum and teaching practices. As a university representative, you will provide specialist teaching and tuition to students, ensuring high rates of student participation and engagement, maintaining educational quality and standards, successful student outcomes, and equality of access and participation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Module Leadership: Teach students, lead modules, ensure effective delivery, and oversee quality assurance and enhancement.
  • Digital Innovation: Lead on digital innovation for your discipline.
  • Assessment and Support: Mark and moderate student work, support the Course Leader in assessment processes, and help students understand assessment requirements and academic integrity.
  • Academic and Pastoral Guidance: Act as an Academic Advisor, providing academic and pastoral support and guidance to students.
  • Student Learning Experience: Collaborate with the Course Leader to enhance the student learning experience, contribute to curriculum development, and advise on Lecturer recruitment and performance management.
  • Student Recruitment and Representation: Support student recruitment efforts and represent your discipline in governance and quality platforms.
  • Professional Development: Engage in professional development, scholarly activity, and research where appropriate.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Deputy Provost and other members of the Provost's Office on strategic initiatives and collaborate with student experience departments to promote well-being and drive successful student outcomes.
