About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Early Careers Advisor to join our team at the UK Atomic Energy Authority. As an Early Careers Advisor, you will play a key role in the development of our graduate program, increasing numbers and diversity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with departments and programs to identify their early careers needs, focusing on business and delivery plans and identifying the right mix of apprentices and graduates from the right subject areas to meet those needs.
  • Support the graduate leadership, to play a key role in the development of the graduate program, increasing numbers and diversity.
  • Support the delivery of the programs, ensuring graduates access the right learning, development and training opportunities, and supporting placements ensuring they are organised including the provision of the right level of supervision and support.
  • Support the training of early careers line manager and supervisors, including but not limited to the right level of knowledge around safeguarding, graduate programs and the skills required in supporting individuals on early careers programs.
  • Contribute to the operation of the Early Career's programs, including working with identified programs and departments in identifying their early careers needs and outreach activities. Leading on specific projects within the graduate program as directed by the scheme lead.
  • To provide mentoring and personal support to individuals on the graduate programs to support them in completing the programs they are a part of.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline Or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge of the Early Careers sector and vocational qualifications.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of graduate standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office, etc).
Desirable Skills
  • CIPD L5 qualifications or a willingness to work towards it.
