About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Autism Support Specialist to join our team at Engage Partners. As an Autism Support Specialist, you will work closely with learners with a diagnosis of Autism, providing individualized support to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to learners with Autism, adapting to their individual needs and requirements.
- Assist learners in lessons, promoting positive behavior and encouraging them to stay on task.
- Clarify and explain instructions and questions to learners, ensuring they understand the material.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with learning difficulties and Autism.
- Experience in a SEND education setting is highly desirable.
- Team Teach training is an advantage, but we can provide training for the right candidate.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
