Job Title: M&E Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled M&E Design Engineer to join our team at Nolan Recruitment Solutions. As an M&E Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing energy-saving solutions for various projects, including ground source heat pump and air source heat pump systems, district and communal heating systems, solar photovoltaic installations, and other low-carbon technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Lead Engineer and the wider team with the development of energy-saving solutions.
  • Provide help from the initial idea to final stages of development.
  • Develop solutions to energy and water efficiency upgrade challenges.
  • Assist with site surveys and building reports for solution development.
  • Produce and design calculations for different projects.
  • Conduct energy modelling and savings calculations.
  • Assist in optimising the design processes that are currently in place.
  • Ensure all aspects of new and ongoing projects are in line with up-to-date best practice industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience of designing renewable energy heating systems or building services related designs is preferable.
  • Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD and Revit is preferable.
  • Engineering-related degree such as Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services (related degrees will be considered).
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel and Word).
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Life Insurance, 4% Pension, Health Cash Plan.
  • Hybrid working is available, with the option to work from home up to 5 hours per week.
