Head of Tax

Sheridan Maine (Midlands) is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to lead the development of our in-house Tax function. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for establishing and managing our Tax strategy, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and providing expert advice to our business leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive Tax strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
- Manage our relationships with external Tax advisors and ensure that our Tax processes are efficient and effective.
- Build and maintain a suite of trackable KPIs to measure our Tax performance.
- Design and communicate our longer-term Tax strategy to our stakeholders.
- Provide expert Tax advice to our business leaders and input on wider business strategy.
- ACA/CTA qualified with at least 3 years PQE in a large accounting firm or in-house with strong UK direct tax knowledge.
- Strong understanding of UK Corporation Tax and some knowledge of indirect Tax.
- Passionate about Tax with a mindset of continuous learning.
- Strong communicator able to convey complex Tax concepts clearly.
