Strategic Recruitment Partners is seeking a skilled Composite Project Engineer to join our client, a family-run business with a strong presence in the composites industry. With a rich history dating back to 1985, they have established themselves as a trusted supplier of high-quality composite parts to various sectors, including Marine Leisure, Marine Defence, Aerospace, and Simulation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a series of new and existing customers, ensuring a sustainable level of profit for the company. This will involve coordinating projects from concept to delivery, commercial responsibility, account management, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant technical and quality areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project coordination and management
  2. Commercial responsibility and estimating
  3. Account management and customer relations
  4. Maintenance of BOMs, sales orders, and delivery notes
  5. Establishing clear project requirements with customers
  6. Preparing Engineering Management plans and estimates
  7. Modifying layup books and sign-off sheets as necessary
  8. Collaboration with the quality team to ensure best practices
  9. Project managing component manufacture and working with external suppliers
  10. Negotiation of contract variations and ensuring accounts department is up-to-date

Requirements:

  1. Degree-level education in Engineering
  2. Experience with composite and GRP materials and manufacturing
  3. Proficiency in Siemens NX or Solidworks
