Senior Technical Specialist

The Senior Service Engineer plays a pivotal role in Senseco Systems Limited, overseeing the management of complex sites and providing technical expertise to customers. This position requires a broad knowledge of various products and the ability to mentor less experienced engineers, including out-of-hours support when on call.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to colleagues as needed, either through phone support or on-site visits.
- Conduct regular engineer audits, reporting findings to the service supervisor, ensuring logbooks are accurate, and engineer worksheets are clear and concise.
- Perform minor remedial and fault rectification works during PPM visits, supported by a separate call number and worksheet, and in conjunction with a written instruction from the client.
- Offer technical support, knowledge, and coaching when required, setting the standard for other engineers and imparting knowledge on best practices.
- Assist in the development of trainees, mentoring them in Senseco working methods and reporting progress to the service supervisor.

- Initiative and attention to detail, considering the life safety industry's requirements.

- Strong customer-facing skills.
Competencies:
- Proven experience in the fire industry.
- Ability to install, test, commission, and service Fire Alarm Systems and/or Security Systems.
- Excellent servicing, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills, with the ability to resolve issues through elimination or technical recommendations.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word, and understanding of software programming on mainline products.
- Specialist knowledge and experience on a broader and higher technical range of equipment, including software configuration and programming.
