Commercial Manager Job Description

Cedar Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our client, a prestigious council in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-value tenders, managing budgets, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead high-value tenders through all stages of the process, from initiation to contract mobilisation
  • Provide informed advice to commissioners and budget holders, using sector knowledge and expertise to ensure a thorough understanding of the product or service
  • Work collaboratively with legal and other subject matter experts to develop contracts, terms, and conditions
  • Prepare procurement strategies, describing findings and recommended approaches
  • Ensure specifications and desired outcomes are expressed in a meaningful way
  • Develop evaluation models to achieve desired outcomes and best value for money
  • Support contract mobilisation and attend project board meetings as required
  • Manage tenders using E-Procurement tools and contribute to their development
Requirements:
  • MCIPS qualified or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience of running procurements within the Social Care Category, ideally adults
  • Extensive experience of working to PCR2015
  • Ability to work in London 1 day a week
