Job Title: Commercial Manager

Cedar Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join a prestigious council in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-value tenders and managing a team of procurement specialists.

About the Role:

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading high-value tenders through all stages of the process from initiation to contract mobilisation
  • Providing commissioners and budget holders with pragmatic and informed advice throughout the tender process
  • Working collaboratively with legal and other subject matter experts to develop the form of contract, special terms and conditions, and KPIs
  • Preparing a procurement strategy that describes findings and recommended approach
  • Ensuring that specifications and desired outcomes are expressed in a meaningful way
  • Developing evaluation models to achieve desired outcome and best value for money
  • Supporting the mobilisation of the contract prior to handover at Gate 4
  • Attending project board meetings as required
  • Ensuring effective communication and engagement with stakeholders and partners
  • Keeping aware of relevant policy, best practice, and legislative changes
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MCIPS qualification or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience of running procurements within the Social Care Category, ideally adults
  • Extensive experience of working to PCR2015
