About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our Leisure Centre team in Crawley. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing the day-to-day operations of the leisure business, and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and visitors in a friendly and helpful manner, in person or by phone, monitoring and controlling entry to the centre.
  • Deliver a smooth, efficient, and professional experience to all guests.
  • Ensure the membership administration is completed and run the monthly direct debit payment run via the leisure management software system.
  • Ensure correct bills and payments are made and oversee daily banking controls.
  • Maximize sales opportunities at all times.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with the general public, ensuring that an appropriate ambience is maintained in the facility, making customers feel welcomed and valued.
  • Ensure customer information such as leaflets, timetables, promotional fliers, etc. are maintained in sufficient quantities and presentable condition.
  • Sell leisure activities proactively to customers, both new and existing.
  • Attend meetings as and when required.
  • Act as cover relief in other areas of the Leisure Centre's operation – where appropriately qualified to do so.
  • Comply with general responsibilities as set out in the corporate Health and Safety policy.
  • Carry out all duties whilst adhering to the company's policy on customer care.
  • Adhere to the company's policy on equal opportunities at all times.
  • Complete such documentation as may be necessary, including timesheets, Health and Safety/Accident Reports.
  • Ensure the customer is treated correctly the first time, every time.
  • Attend to all customer queries and enquiries in a caring and helpful manner and with commitment to dealing with the issue in a positive way.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a similar role with administration.
  • Good time management skills and able to commit and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels with customers and internal departments alike.
