Support for Learning Assistant

Falkirk Council

Job Summary

We are seeking a Support for Learning Assistant to join our team at Langlees Early Learning and Childcare Centre. The successful candidate will provide support for learning resources aimed at delivering continuity for children and enhancing service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake general supervision of children to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Provide more intensive support for children with additional support needs to ensure individual plans are carried out regularly and efficiently.
  • Work as part of a busy team of staff, requiring good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

Working Arrangements

This part-time role (20 hours, Wednesday afternoon and full days Thursday and Friday) is term-time plus summer holidays and is temporary until 27th June. The salary will be adjusted pro-rata accordingly for part-time and term-time working.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
