Senior Town Planner

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join our team at The Planner Jobs Redactive Publishing Limited. As a Senior Town Planner, you will be responsible for providing expert planning advice to our clients and contributing to the development of our planning services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert planning advice to clients on a range of planning matters, including development proposals, planning policy, and statutory consultations.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information and provide recommendations to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development of our planning services, including the creation of planning reports, policy documents, and other materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in planning legislation, policy, and best practice to ensure that our services are always current and effective.

Requirements

  • 12-18 months experience in the public or private sector as a Town Planner.
  • MUST be a licentiate member of the RTPI or chartered status.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK for site visits.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
