The Opportunity

This role is perfect for a Litigation Solicitor who is looking for a fresh challenge and the chance to develop their skills in contentious probate and disputes. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, including contractual disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, and contentious probate and Inheritance Act claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings and settlement agreements
  • Build and develop the litigation department, including potential recruitment and departmental management
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with at least 3 years' Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) in litigation, particularly in contentious probate and disputes
  • Commercial awareness and a strategic mindset to identify growth opportunities for the department
  • Proven experience handling difficult litigation matters without supervision
