The Opportunity

This role is perfect for a Litigation Solicitor who is looking for a fresh challenge and the chance to develop their skills in contentious probate and disputes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, including contractual disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, and contentious probate and Inheritance Act claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload, including contractual disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, and contentious probate and Inheritance Act claims.
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings and settlement agreements.
  • Build and develop the litigation department, including potential recruitment and departmental management.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with at least 3 years' Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) in litigation, particularly in contentious probate and disputes.
  • Commercial awareness and a strategic mindset to identify growth opportunities for the department.
  • Proven experience handling difficult litigation matters without supervision.
