About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Trading Underwriter to join our team at AXA UK. As a key member of our commercial lines underwriting team, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth in the real estate segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a panel of brokers to generate profitable business opportunities.
  • Lead the underwriting process for new and existing business, ensuring accurate and consistent decision-making.
  • Coach and train senior underwriters to improve their technical and trading capabilities.
  • Act as a referral point for senior underwriters, providing technical and trading input to improve decision-making.
  • Manage and review underwriting standards and licenses within the team.
  • Effectively promote and deploy AXA's strategy, product range, and key differentiators to leverage commercial opportunities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in commercial lines underwriting, with a focus on real estate.
  • Strong relationships with brokers and a deep understanding of the commercial lines market.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
