As a Physiotherapist Functional Assessor, your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive assessments for individuals facing a variety of physical and/or mental health challenges who are applying for the ESA benefit scheme.

An extensive training program will be provided to ensure you feel fully prepared for your new position, along with the opportunity to earn over 100 hours of CPD points within your initial three months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize your clinical expertise to assess individuals with diverse health conditions, understanding how their disabilities impact their daily lives.
  • Conduct meaningful assessments in both home and assessment center settings, typically lasting around 45 minutes.
  • Interpret medical documentation and compile your findings into a detailed report to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in their decision-making process.

Requirements:
  • Applications are welcomed from Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists only.
  • Current NMC or HCPC pin registration is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of broad post-registration experience is required, with UK experience being essential.
  • Must be proactive, eager to learn, and open to feedback.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and proficiency in IT is essential.
