Job Title: Senior Medical Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Engineering Technician to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the commissioning, service, and maintenance of medical devices used across our hospitals.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning, servicing, and maintaining medical devices, including ventilation, endoscopy, and theatre-based equipment.
  • Developing and implementing the ISO 9001:2015 Quality standard.
  • Leading a team of engineers in the maintenance and repair of medical devices.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Person Specification:
  • Professional electronics knowledge acquired through a BEng in electronics, medical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience in fault analysis and diagnosis of complex electronic/mechanical equipment.
  • Self-management of workload, including planning for routine maintenance and prioritizing breakdown requests.
  • Medical device calibration and maintenance.
