Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team at Werfen. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for planning and conducting scientific assignments that require mastery of specialized techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Familiarity with analytical instrumentation, including UV-Vis, FTIR, Raman, and other advanced technologies.
  • Industry experience in UV polymer curing and characterization.
  • Strong understanding of chemical processes and their application to electrochemical sensors.
  • Possession of a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Application of the scientific method and experimental design in problem-solving.
  • Development of original, thorough, and practical solutions to complex problems.
  • Effective communication of progress status to supervisors.
  • Performance of complicated or demanding assignments requiring specialized knowledge.
  • Definition of short and mid-term objectives and implementation of plans to achieve them.
  • Leadership and direction of the work of other personnel.
  • Maintenance of accurate, precise, and legible laboratory notebooks.
  • Communication of status updates across the organization.
  • Documentation and reporting of technical information.
  • Representation of the company to outside organizations.
  • Continual broadening of professional expertise through comprehensive knowledge of scientific literature and competitive products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, plus 7 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in a relevant field, plus 5 years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field, plus 0-1 year of experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties and responsibilities at a level higher than Scientist III.
