Job Title: WAN Network Architect

Join Anson McCade, a leading provider of innovative solutions to the Ministry of Defence, in this exciting opportunity to shape the future of national security.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled WAN Network Architect to lead our projects from conception to completion. As a key member of our team, you will design and document network architectures that exceed customer expectations, while engaging in hands-on configuration and implementation to ensure seamless transitions to service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Propose and design network solutions using advanced technologies from companies like Cisco and Juniper.
  • Create architecture documents, high-level designs, and detailed configurations.
  • Lead governance reviews for a smooth handover.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align our solutions with their business needs.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to design and utilize Cisco and Juniper technologies, producing high and low-level design documents.
  • Proficient in MPLS, BGP, ISIS, with experience in Juniper SRX, MX, or Cisco equivalents.
  • Understanding of IPSec, GRE, and hardware encryption.
  • Expertise with Juniper EX switches and JUNOS, basic Cisco IOS knowledge.
  • Strong skills in configuring and troubleshooting network devices.
  • Experience managing projects from requirements to operational acceptance.
  • Understanding of design impact on Managed Services and SLAs.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Base Salary: up to £70,000.
